program description
This is a community-based program that provides goal directed, highly structured, mentoring and tracker services to youth under the Office of Juvenile Justice’s (OJJ) supervision or custody. Custody youth may be referred to the program for short term services, such as support during furloughs. Mentors/Trackers assist the youth and family in allowing the youth to remain in the family home while ensuring the youth and the public’s safety. OJJ refers youth between the ages of 10 and 20 (male and female) who need additional intervention and supportive services to succeed in their community.
Each juvenile offender is monitored on a daily basis for a period of 90 days. Our philosophy is that at-risk youths are best treated and rehabilitated in the context of their families and communities.
