is designed to prevent and deter criminal behaviors, to prevent out-of-home placements, and to maintain the safety of the adolescents in their home, school, and community. The program is designed to pair adolescents between the ages of 16 and 22 with professional college students (i.e., persons
19 years of age or older) who offer them
support, consistency, and a chance for

personal growth and independence.
Adolescents are provided a minimum of 10 hours a month for a period of 1 year. The ratio of mentor to adolescent is 1 to 3.The mentoring match is small to ensure the adolescents success in the program.
