Gloria Ethridge, Baton Rouge Regional Director, received a Service Award during the Capital Area Alliance for the Homeless (CAAH) Board meeting held last week. A founding member of the CAAH Board, Gloria was commended by Randy Nichols, Executive Director of the Board, for serving in the crucial formative period when the Board took responsibility for all aspects of the Alliance�s work. Randy Nichols praised Gloria for her continuous assistance and support throughout the years: "When CAAH needed a member agency to sponsor our HMIS Project, Gloria volunteered GCSS. When CAAH decided to hire staff, Gloria donated office space and administrative support for the position. Gloria served on the Executive Director Search Committee, chaired the first Personnel Committee, and later became the Board Secretary. And she did even more. For the past seven years, Gloria has been close at hand offering me support and exceedingly generous with her wise counsel. She will be missed on our Board of Directors."
