Kim Kennedy Receives AAIDD Service Award 09/17/2010
The Louisiana Chapter of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) held its Annual Meeting and Award Ceremony on September 14 at the Best Western in Alexandria.
Kim Kennedy, Fiscal Information and Training Specialist at GCTFS, was recognized for her service to individuals with disabilities, including chairing the Regional and State advisory groups for the Office of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD) and being instrumental in getting people together to tackle the issues faced by individuals with disabilities.
The award, remitted by Sharon Delvisco—outgoing President of the AAIDD (Louisiana Chapter)—is a replica of the winning entry submitted to the 2010 AAIDD Amateur Art Contest.
