Alexandria Office Moves to a New Location! 08/24/2010
The GCTFS Alexandria region has officially moved to its new office on Jackson Street. After some renovations and a few repairs, the building is finally ready to welcome our clients and staff. Everybody is very excited about the new facility as it is more spacious and can accommodate more activities.
The Open House and ribbon cutting ceremony took place on Thursday, August 19. Members of the community, clients and GCTFS staff from several regions were present, including our CEO, Rick Hardie. All guests enjoyed a delicious buffet, cake, and door prizes. Mrs. Susan Burns, Alexandria Area Supervisor, made a fervent speech about gratitude, the importance of recognizing your blessings in life, and the significance of our Agency's mission, which encourages people with disabilities to live in a place of their own.
Another special occasion was also celebrated, as Mr. Don Short, Regional Director for the Alexandria, Lafayette, and Lake Charles offices, was presented with an award acknowledging his twenty-five years of service with GCTFS.
