On Wednesday, October 28, 2009, the Board of Directors of Gulf Coast Teaching Family Services, Inc. appointed Rick Hardie as President/Chief Executive Officer. Rick has worked in the nonprofit human services field for the last 35 years. He has served as the Agency’s Chief Administrative Officer for the past 13 years.

The Board of Directors is also pleased to announce that Marianne Thompson has been elected Board Chair. Marianne has served on several nonprofit boards and has been active as a volunteer with the United Way of Greater New Orleans over the years. For the past three years, Marianne has served on the GCTFS Board of Directors and has been heavily involved in the development of the Agency’s strategic plan.

Three members of the Board have recently resigned their positions as directors: Doreen Babo, David Daniels, and Pam Savin.

The Board looks forward to supporting the GCTFS staff in advancing the mission of the Agency.
