12th Annual Picnic and Fishing Rodeo 04/09/2008

Saturday, April 5, GCTFS, in conjunction with the Exchange Club, hosted their 12th Annual Picnic and Fishing Rodeo at Waddill Wildlife Refuge on North Flannery Road in Baton Rouge, LA.

Approximately 100 participants, including consumers, staff, and their families, were in attendance. People began arriving at 7:30 a.m. and the fun, food and games continued until 2:30 p.m. “Fishtificates” and trophies were awarded for “the first fish, the biggest fish, the smelliest fish, the ugliest fish”, among numerous categories. Everyone enjoyed a meal of grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, courtesy of the barbecue team of Pat Landry, Training Director, and his family. Event organizer, Exchange Club President and GCTFS Program Director, Kathy Blackman, was extremely pleased with the turnout and weather.
