The Adult Day Habilitation is a NOW program that assists adults with physical and/or mental disabilities to cultivate their creative and social talents through daily activities. This community-based program focuses on socialization with meaningful age-appropriate activities which provide enrichment and promote wellness, improving the recipients� quality of life and encouraging them to contribute to the community. |

Recipients participate to activities that:
- Enhance their social skills
- Encourage their creativity
- Stimulate their artistic abilities
- Develop their self-esteem and confidence
- Improve their personal care skills
- Promote interaction with the community
- Offer job skills and hands-on life skills training
Examples of such activities include painting/art workshops, computer training, field trips, volunteer work, and discussing current events.
Transportation to and from the Day Habilitation Center may be possible. |
eligibility
Recipient must:
- Have a significant physical, mental, cognitive or sensory impairment that limits their ability to function independently in the community
- Be 18 years or older
The Adult Day Habilitation services are covered by Medicaid for qualified individuals who meet the NOW requirements
We also provide Adult Day Habilitation services through the Supports Waiver and individual private pay contracts.
