Nurturing Parenting Program
The Nurturing Parenting Program seminars for Families in Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery are designed to assist parents in strengthening their own recovery and to build a nurturing family lifestyle. The program focuses on three main values: authenticity, mutuality, and empathy.
The program is comprised of 18 consecutive sessions that take place weekly for one and a half hour. In conjunction with classroom instructions, the parents also receive a handbook designed to help them develop nurturing skills and reconnect with their children.
Eligible individuals are referred by the Office of Community Services (OCS).
