Lafayette Region recognized by the Better Business Bureau 04/04/2008
In today's age of information, news becomes obsolete almost as soon as it is published. However, this will not prevent us from sharing the achievement of the Lafayette region that took place on October 25, 2007. That night, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) was hosting its Awards Ceremony at the River Oaks Conference Center. Several awards were given: Customer Commitment, Outstanding New Business, Non-Profit Organization of the Year, Good Neighbor, and Integrity. The following staff attended the event: Don and Nancy Short, Jodie Harvey, Minnie Hickman, Joy Henry, Lee Armelin, Emma Pete, Janet Dwyer, Viriginia Johnson, Kandice Duhon, Gwen Cormier, Rachel Arvie, Jennifer Ben, and Greg Mithcell.
GCTFS reveived the Achievement Recognition under the Non-Profit Organization of the Year but did not win the category. The BBB remitted awards to the following winners:
- Century Mortgage (Customer Commitment)
- Spoiled Pet Spa (Outstanding New Business)
- Girl Scouts Bayou Council (Non-Profit Organization of the Year)
- Lafayette General Hospital (Good Neighbor)
- Meche's Donuts (Integrity -small business)
- Superior Energy (Integrity - large business)
